PLASTIC SOUL
"Plastic Soul" is a conversation that uses the body to reflect on how we've wrapped the earth in plastic. Humans have adopted a plastic soul – a cold soul in a warm body, one that believes it can live disconnected from the living system that nourishes and sustains it. The project explores this idea by turning the human body into a vessel where plastic returns, becoming just another object on the planet. This represents a deep devaluation of life. This conversation made me question what we give to the planet and what we receive from it, putting me in two different perspectives. People who awaken their love for the earth reconnect with the geometry inside their cells and can adopt new ways of thinking and acting, revealing the true human being – a more empathetic one. We are a reflection of the planet. When we question our role as co-creators with the earth, that's when we truly understand our purpose with it.
